Principle 13: Rethinking
The AllInPeace process requires rethinking, time, patience and effort and can create a sense of trust, security and hope.
Examples:
General’s quote about airplanes used as instruments of peace/ what is the question behind throwing the javelin, naming communities rather than nationalities, the fine process of moving from the old community to the new community/ Zulus: the disabled become the overable ones/ heroes.
Explanation:
Creating alternative modes of interaction demands a real sense of safety, security, and trust. Once these are supplied the process of creating alternative modes of relating can begin that brings about a reframing of fundamental assumptions that instill hope.
